Professor Steven Spier has been Dean of the Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture at Kingston University London since September 2012. Previously he was head of the School of Architecture and Design in Belfast after being the founding Vice-Chancellor of a new university of the built environment and metropolitan development in Hamburg: the HafenCity University. He has also been head of the School of Architecture at Strathclyde University in Glasgow. Martin Tschanz is a practising architect and the author of numerous books on the subject.
