Description
The story follows Beth, a theatre nurse who is still reeling from the devastating end of a long-term affair with her boss, the eminent Professor Ted Malcolm. When she meets Albie, a talented and ambitious young neurosurgeon, she sees a chance for a fresh start. They marry, and Albie quickly becomes Ted’s protégé, unaware that his wife and his mentor have a complex, painful history. However, when Ted’s support for Albie begins to sour, Beth spots an opportunity to satisfy her husband’s ambition and her own obsessive desire for revenge in one fell swoop.
