Activist Emma Holten challenges traditional economics for ignoring the value of care and “women’s work.” She traces how these essential labors have been treated as a deficit rather than the foundation of a stable society. By rethinking economic history, Holten argues that our obsession with profit has fueled a global care crisis. This bold manifesto advocates for a new system that prioritizes human well-being and social sustainability.
